In the early morning hours of March 11th, Marlee Hulihan Wright made a permanent change of residence. She gently passed in her sleep and now resides in her new celestial community overseen by her Heavenly Father. A beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, Marlee is likely yukking it up with her earthly father, John Hulihan, and her husband of 40 years, Don Wright I (who preceded her in death in 2011). Marlee is survived by her mother Jean, eight siblings, her son Don Wright II, daughter Angela Fehl and son-in-law Barry Fehl.
Born in 1950, Marlee was a woman of strong faith and a lover of nature. She got daily joy out of watching birds and squirrels. Marlee was also an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed all things Hallmark & Precious Moments. Her late husband liked to joke that she never stopped being a child at heart.
Marlee's favorite color was pale yellow, which suitably matched her perpetually sunny disposition and persistent optimism. Marlee's surviving family send out their hopes, wishes and prayers that Marlee has found her new residence even more beautiful than she ever imagined, chock full of all the best books and the softest and fluffiest of God's critters. She, along with her joyous smile, will be deeply missed.
On April 6th, a Celebration of Life will be hosted by Marlee's community of friends and neighbors at Laurelwood Apartments. Those interested in attending may contact Angie or Barry Fehl at (828) 676 – 0935 for more details.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
