MITCHELL COBB CASE
ASHEVILLE – Mitchell Cobb Case, 83, of Asheville, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Wilson Co., she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Daniel and Mary Susan Abrams Cobb. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Boyd Cockrell, and second husband, Wallace Case.
Mrs. Case was a member of Biltmore Church of God, was a beautician, and was a widely known church music educator.
She is survived by daughters Linda Cockrell Howard and husband, Jerry, of Asheville, and Mary Elizabeth Abrams Stallings of Smithfield, NC; step-children Beverly Mattinson of Utah, David Case of Idaho, and Wendell Case of NC; grandchildren Beth Howard Gilliard, Charles Howard, and Melissa Stallings; great-grandchildren Faith, Grant, Christian, Chayse, Kaitlyn, and Brandon; numerous step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews who considered her a second mom. She will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Biltmore Church of God, with the Rev. Dale Whitson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Services will also be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Cemetery Chapel in Rocky Mount Memorial Park, Rocky MT., NC.
