Thomas William Noblett, 60, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
Thomas was a native of Asheville, a son of William Alton Noblett and Charlene Masters Noblett. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and an Air Force veteran. He was a founding member of the WNC Black Bear Sanctuary and an employee of Mission Hospital. The Thomas W. Noblett Echo Lab was named in honor of his 34 years of service to the patients of Western North Carolina as a founding member of the Echo Program established in 1983.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Rory Noblett (Marissa Morgan) of Asheville; a grandson, Owen William Noblett; two sisters, Lisa Noblett Piercy (David Pennebaker), and their children, Vachel and Lauren Pennebaker, of Asheville and Becky Noblett Roberts (Steve) of Fletcher and also survived by his two German Shepherds, Ozzie and Emily and his cat, Tippy Toes.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at Central United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Rob Blackburn. A family reception will follow.
