  1. I am so sorry to hear about Jimmy. I worked with him many years ago at American Optical. He was always smiling and I never saw him in a bad mood. Our paths crossed a couple of times down through the years, and he was always the same with his forever ‘big’ smile. May his family find comfort in knowing that his witness here on earth is now being rewarded in Heaven. God’s love surround all of you at such a difficult time.

  13. Dear Family,
I knew Jimmy many, many years ago as Marilyn’s big brother; Marilyn and I were friends from kindergarten through graduation. I remember that Jimmy was a leader at Canton High School and came to talk to us at Canton Junior High about never smoking. He displayed a healthy lung and one that had been damaged by smoking. By the very fact that he was chosen to come speak to us ‘younger’ kids, shows the high regard that his teachers had for him as a role model. Later I was privileged to teach both Robbie in English and Mark in German at Pisgah High School I enjoyed both of these young men and have often wondered where each was and how life was treating them. Mrs. Mease, you will remember that once you invited me to your house to have a spring picnic with Marilyn. I still have photos of our ‘outing’ on Oakmont Drive. I am saddened to learn of Jimmy’s passing and want to convey my deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved him. Sincerely, Sharon Byers Conner

  14. Jimmy was a dear cousin and friend of mine.David and I went to CHS with Jimmy.David&Jimmy(class of 65). I will remember Jim as a kind and loving man who cared about his family and the Lord. I will always remember his wonderful smile. Rest in Peace

  15. Ruth Ann and family, Jimmy had been my friend for many, many years. He had been gone from my life for many years, but in the last year, I really enjoyed getting to be with him again and getting to know you. A very important part of our lives is now with God and he will be missed greatly.
