Guestbook

  1. We want to express our prayers and condolence to Annette and Carol, and to other friends and family. Don was truly a character and a gracious man. We will miss his friendly prescence and smile.

  2. Don was one of the finest gentlemen that I have ever known. Many years ago, Don and I were co-Tail-Twisters for the South Ashland Lions Club. We had a great time at our meetings, and collected a lot of quarters for our charitable causes. It was probably the only time that more than one person served as Tail-Twister for the Lions Club. We worked well together and had a great time in our shared position. I am truly saddened to learn of his passing, and I pray for peace and comfort for Don’s Mother and Wife, and all those who cherished him as I did.

  3. Don was the sweetest most kind-hearted man. I feel blessed to have known him the short 4 years i did. He was always smiling & positive. Through all his discomforts he was nothing but a light to everyone around him.

Don was my opera buddy – we shared much conversation about our love of the music/the art. I wish i could’ve seen him as the phantom in Phantom of the Opera! He must have been magical.

He will be greatly missed, but to see the positive as I’m sure he would, I’m glad he’s no longer in constant pain.
    He will be remembered.
    Love you Don

  4. Don, you will be missed buddy. I will be rooting for the Kentucky this year, just for you. My thoughts are with you and your family.

  5. What can I say about Don? He was a character as someone has already said. He was a gentleman, quick with a smile and handshake. He was a kind hearted man who loved his Mother and Wife with all his heart. Don and I first met at Client Logic where we set across from each other. Later I went to Emdeon and not too long after I looked up one day and there was my buddy Don. We ended sitting across from each other once again! Later as we advanced in our jobs we moved upstairs to our new desks and … yes, we sat across from each other once again. This year we moved to a new building so that all our employees could be in one building and…. yes…. We sat beside each other again! Lol Don and I always laughed about how we were meant to work side by side. Don was also one of the toughest men I have ever known. Throughout all the pain and suffering that he endured I never heard him complain or feel sorry for himself. Let us all keep Annette and Don’s mother in our prayers.

  6. Don is one of the strongest people I know, through all of his ups and downs he was always positive and would greet you with a smile… Annette every conversation I had with Don you were in it, he just lit up every time he talked about you, he would tell me that he was so happy for Patrick as he wanted him to find what he had found with you! Your love story was one that many will never in a lifetime feel or find and that is a true blessing. My prayers are with you and your family.

  7. Annette,
Getting to know you and Don was a blessing!! I will be thinking of you today and the days to come!!
    Lisa Williams; RN Mission Hospital

  8. Don was a very passionate guy whom I enjoyed talking with about topics we had in common. His love for his hometown Wildcats and his perpetual left turning drivers of Nascar were certainly obvious. The most obvious thing with Don was his love for his wife Annette. He was so happy and proud to be married to her and she made his life the best it could be in the face of his unfortunate challenges. My thoughts and prayers are with Don, Annette and thier families.

  9. Annette,

It is with such a heavy heart that I write this.

I’m so sorry that Don has passed. I had such high hopes of him getting his transplant and you guys having many more years together. I’m thankful for the happy years you had with each other. You made such a difference in his life. I will miss him greatly.

I hope your healing can soon begin. Lean on your friends, family and coworkers. That is what we are here for.

May God bless you Annette. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Pam Coleman

  10. Annette,

I know you and Don loved each other very much, and words cannot express what you are going through, but please know that you are in my prayers.

  11. I am glad I had the pleasure of working with Don; he was always a sweet person when we spoke on the phone.
    Annette,
I am so sorry for you loss.
    With deepest sympathy,

  12. I met Don and Annette when the three of us and others started our journey with eRx Network. My first impression of Don was that he was a true gentleman and was awfully nice. Don always had a smile on his face and went out of his way to take the time to speak to someone. He was passionate about his interests and his work and he loved his wife very much. I recall him saying his goal was to live a long time to be able to be with Annette. Truly a terrible loss for a lot of folks.

  13. Annette, You and your family have been in my prayers. Don will be missed greatly. He was always so pleasent no matter how bad he felt and always had a smile on his face.

  14. Carol and Annette – I want to express my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. You both are in my prayers and thoughts. I went to PGBHS with Don and worked with Carol in the day at GTE. Bonnie (Lewis) Hart

  15. We have great memories of a beautiful and talented man who spent life in a grand adventure. God, thank you for blessing our lives through Don.

  16. Carol, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of such a wonderful son. Don was an inspiration to all who knew him and as he and I shared many conversations about organ donation I will never forget his wonderful attitude about life and his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Don now rests peacefully in the arms of Jesus with a new body that is free from pain and disease. May God hold you and his wife in His arms and protect you from pain as you go through this great loss.

  17. We enjoyed taking care of Don and he will be missed. Our thoughts are with the family.

  18. It was a pleasure to have known and worked with Don. When we were desk neighbors, we sure shared a lot of laughs. Annette, Don loved you so much and I know his spirit and essence will remain with you always. May you find strength and comfort in that.

  19. We were saddened to hear about Don’s passing. Thank God we know he is alive in Heaven because Jesus was His Savior. What a reunion someday ahead of us! We know you found the Lord Annette as your personal Savior and Lord through Don and for this we are so thankful. Will never forget your baptism. We will always remember his smile and kindness in our class and his endurance through all his ups and downs physically. We know he loved you dearly Annette and our prayers will be with you through your healing. It is not easy…God is our strengh and help in our times of need. Please know your friends are praying for you and Don’s mother. I too lost a son and that’s not easy…what would we ever do if we didn’t have our Lord to hold us up. Larry and Mary DeBoer

  20. To Annette and family we share this from The Book of Common Prayer.

Almighty God, Father of mercies and Giver of all comfort; Deal graciously, we pray thee, with all those who mourn, that, casting every care on thee, they may know the consolation of Thy love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May Almighty God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, bless you and keep you, now and for evermore. Amen.

    Larry and Linda

  21. Don was/is my friend, through the good the bad and the ugly…..I will miss our conversations, your insights and advice! Annette, my heart breaks for your loss…..My thoughts and prayers are with you daily. Much love!
