Rodney Ralph Vardiman, III, infant son of Rodney Vardiman, Jr., and Brittany Vardiman, died Saturday, March 29, 2014.
In addition to his parents, Rodney is survived by paternal grandmother Anita Vardiman, maternal grandfather Richard Slogis, paternal great-grandparents Hubert and Sandra Stapleton, and great-grandfather Lloyd Vardiman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Duane Corle officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious Rodney. My heart goes out you. Death is something we will never get use to. In fact, God’s Word refers to death as an
enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) God promises us that he will be ‘near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.’ (Psalm 34:18) Very soon our loving Heavenly Father, Jehovah God, will remove death once and for all and give us the opportunity to hold our loved ones in our arms again.
