Anna Gertrud Hiller Cauble, 88, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Hospice Solace Center in Asheville.
Mrs. Cauble was born in Amberg, Germany to the late Franz and Anna Fehlner Hiller.
She is survived by her husband, Jakie Cauble; a daughter, Shirley Cauble Maggio and her husband, Don; two grandchildren, Martin Maggio and Kurt Maggio and two great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Asheville Humane Society, 14 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville, NC 28806.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I can still see Gertie and Grandma sitting around the kitchen table smoking and having their coffee with Smokey sitting chewing is raw hide bones, grandma always kept for him. It was always exciting to come to their house in the summer because we always got to come spend the night with Gertie and Jakie while we were in town. Those are very treasured childhood memories. She will live forever in my heart.
