Roger Ural "Doc" Klutz, 77, of 671 Asbury Road, Candler, died Thursday, November 4, 2004, at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Catawba County, he was a son of the late Ralph and Pearl Poovey Klutz. Mr. Klutz was a WWII US Navy veteran and was retired from K-Mart where he was an appliance salesman. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Juanita Warlick Klutz; four sons, Kenneth Klutz of Orlando, FL, Bill Klutz of Mobile, AL, Tony Klutz of Murfreesboro, TN and Mike Klutz of Leicester; two step-children, Charles Hinson of South Jordan, UT and J.D. Hinson of Asheville; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Earl Jones officiating. His family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

  5. Juanita, I am so sorry to hear about Roger’s passing. He was such a hard worker even though he was in constant pain. He was such a caring and giving person. You both are. I will always remember the loving laughter in your house between Roger, you and Mike. It was such a comfortable and peaceful place to visit. I am blessed to have been able to know both of you. You, Mike and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this hard time.
