Naomi Mary Conner Bradley, 73, of Arden, passed away at her residence on December 4, 2017.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Artlessie Pinner Conner. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Walter Bradley; her grandparents, Samuel Augustus “Gus” Pinner, Mary Moore Pinner, William Alfred Conner and Georgianne Helden Conner; three brothers, Raymond Conner, Vernon Conner and Leon Conner; one sister, Blanche Conner Chatham and one brother in law, Jim Henninger.
Naomi graduated from Valley Springs High School and enjoyed careers as a caretaker for the elderly and then as a helper on the special needs bus at TC Roberson High School. She was a lifelong member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed nature, all animal, being outdoors, reading her Bible and watching preachers on TV.
Naomi is survived by one sister, Grace Pinner Henninger, of Baltimore, MD; cousin Roger Pinner and his wife, Wanda, of Arden; sister-in-laws, Felma Conner and Virginia Conner, lifelong friends, Betty Conner Meece and Evelyn Hudson Davis, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 7 at Averys Creek Christian Church Cemetery with Pastor Cody Sturgill officiating. The family will have a short visitation time at the cemetery following the service.
Flowers are appreciated, but for those who choose, memorial donations may be made in Naomi’s name to Boiling Springs Baptist Church, 1291 Fanning Bridge Road, Fletcher, NC 28730.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
Naomi was such a Special Blessing I always considered her my aunt my mother and father told me stories about her and the things they did with Naomi and Grady and Alma she and I would try to call each other as much as we could and talk for over a hour she made my day when we talked I ask the Lord to be close to each of you.
