Michele Marie Stala

Michele Marie Stala, 49, of Asheville, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018. A native of Aliquippa, PA, Michele was a daughter of Karen LeJeune and the late John Stala. She was also preceded in death by her uncle, Daniel LeJeune. In addition to her mother, Michele is survived by her husband, Richard James "Rick" Ziobro; daughter, Ferren Lynn Stala; and sister, Johneen Stala. Michele was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter; who would give whatever was needed to others without hesitation. She was an RN who spent many years taking care of those in need in the hospital on various Med/Surg, Oncology, and Telemetry Units. Michele loved the outdoors and come Spring, Summer, or Fall, she would be found in her favorite places: the N.C. Arboretum, Ledges Park, and Skinny Dip Falls. Michele’s true love was the beach though, and would go as often as she could. She was a purveyor of excellent music, and would use that to help sooth her soul. Other than her family, she had a great passion for animals as evidence by her rescuing 4 dogs (Cassie, Nola, Rex, and Stella Luna), a cat (Punk’n), multiple rats, and fostering kittens through Brother Wolf Animal Rescue. Michele had a huge heart and was willing to share her love with everyone who was around her.
