Hendersonville ~ On Saturday, February 26, 2005, Denise McMurray Swann, of 102 Glover Street, Hendersonville went to be with her Savior and now rests in His arms. Denise was the beloved wife of Charles E. Swann and the stepmother of Audra Goodnough, Brenda Winslow of Greenville, S.C. and Jeremiah Swann of Charleston, S.C. She was the daughter of Phyllis Youngblood Swann and Larry Swann of Asheville and of Glover and Barbara McMurray of Hendersonville. She is also survived by her brother, William McMurray of Hendersonville and her loving sister, Amanda Swann of Asheville. Her grandparents, Albert and Carrie Youngblood were waiting with her uncle Billy Youngblood to greet Denise in heaven at the throne of The Great I Am, and took her to the One that had gone to prepare a place for her. There her grandparents Richard and Doris Swann joined them to praise the Lamb for about 100 years and then will show Denise her eternal home. Denise will be waiting to see her many aunts, uncles and cousins that she loved dearly. Denise’s soft voice, beautiful face, and sweet smile will be greatly missed, but if you could only see her now! Be sad that we have lost her for a time, but be happy for her that she now is with her Lord and Savior and now sees His face clearly and that has been her wish for many years. Services will be held at 12:30 pm Wednesday, March 2, 2005 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Reverend Darrell McClaren officiating. Burial will follow at Western North Carolina Veteran’s Cemetery in Black Mountain. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. It is requested that memorials me made to the family.
