To Whitney’s family, she was a great lady and so fun to work with, I was glad to call her a friend. We often talked about our love of frenchies and her anesthesia black cloud. We would always joke that if something wild was gonna happen, it would happen to her. Even after she left Connecticut we kept in touch via text and calls, I will miss our long talks about nursing anesthesia, mutual friends and our dogs. I’m so sorry this happened.
I will miss my sweet Whitney Girl❣️ I love you for all time. Love, Your Pa
Prayers lifted for peace and comfort for all of the family
You came into this world and warmed us with your smile, your mischievous humor, your love of animals, and your love and loyalty for your family. You gave your adult life to helping patients with a caring professionalism. Now that you are gone there is an enormous hole in our hearts, but your light still shines like a bright star in the sky. We will always love you and miss you. Aunt Amy, Uncle Bill, Jamie, Rebecca, Giovanni, and Sawyer
To Whitney’s family, I was beyond sad to hear of this. We met the first day of anesthesia school and became good friends. We kept in touch through text and calls. She always spoke so highly and proud of her parents. She was funny, smart and thoughtful. I still have the things she so thoughtfully gave me when I had my first child. My prayers are with you all. She is gone way too soon.
Whitney,
We are regulators for life. You were such a loyal and true friend, and literally the best storyteller I knew. I will hold all of our memories close, especially our MUSC days and those in Black Mtn. Thank you for every laugh, sarcastic remark and hug you didn’t want but accepted anyway:)
To Whitney’s family, please know she made such a difference in the lives of those she touched. I am so grateful to have had her in my life. I will miss her greatly.
Lisa & Family, So sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one. All of your family have meant much to us over the years. Please know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers in the difficult days ahead.

Not only did we at Mission Health lose a fantastic coworker, but WNC lost a great anesthesia provider. It is too hard to believe we will never see you at the end of the table again…..😥
Whenever a patient would express any concerns or fears about anesthesia, I always thought if only they knew what they were getting when YOU were taking care of them, they’d look forward to it and know they were in the best hands possible, waking up to little pain and nausea. It’s going to be hard walking into that OR tomorrow without you. Whitney, you will be so, so, so missed.
My children and I have been snuggling the bunny you gave us extra tight these past few days…
We are so, so sorry for your loss. While we didn’t know Whitney, we knew how proud your family was of her and what a wonderful daughter she was. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Our deepest sympathy, Liz Hynes & Brad Gurganus
I cannot even begin to fathom how you must feel, Bill and Lisa. Debbie, Carly, Craig Michael, and I all send our best wishes and prayers for comfort. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. Your Easter lily and card are at Henry’s office.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

I am so heartbroken to learn of Whitney’s passing. She was one of my preceptors when I made the move to the CSICU at Vidant. Such an incredibly kind person. And an overwhelming abundance of knowledge about the care of ICU patients and the willingness to share that knowledge.
