Asheville, NC
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Naomi, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on October 9th, 2021.
She left us while sleeping peacefully at her residence in Asheville, North Carolina. She was in her 48th year and is survived by her devoted husband, Tom Gaddy, and daughters, Madeleine Shastri and Ruby Gaddy, her parents, Susan Eggerton and Richard Brown, and her sister, Sarah Brown.
Naomi’s interests included family, forging loving and lasting friendships, gardening, reading, and sports… to name a few. She lived a full life– one that allowed her larger than life personality to blossom and excite. Naomi was a person that loved stronger than anyone else, that dreamed for us all, pushed those close to her to be better than even they knew they could be.
Naomi’s lasting gift to us all will be remembrance of how she could light up any room that she walked into, could turn heads, and remind us all that a bit of shock, awe, and fun never hurt anyone. With this, we all look forward to taking a little bit of Naomi with us every day, sharing her special light with everyone around us.
A celebration of life will be held on October 23rd, 4:00 PM at the Kenilworth Center, 4 Chiles Avenue (just behind the Kenilworth Church).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are sent to The UNCA Botanical Gardens: https://ashevillebotanicalgardens.org/support/donations/
