A native of Spartanburg, SC, Mr. Medford was a son of the late Lurlene Medford. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, with 13 years of service.
Surviving are his son, Jay Medford (Megan); and grandchild, Baxter Medford.
Funeral services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, at the Western Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Joe Yelton officiating.
Face masks are being required in the VA chapel.
