Asheville Butterfly TrailWillie Mae Harwood Myers, 92, of Fairview, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
A Buncombe County native, she was a daughter of the late Vestal and Lillian McAbee Harwood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Myers and three siblings, Ruby Jean Owenby, Edward “Mac” Harwood and Bobby Harwood.
She is survived by daughter, Janice Bennett (and her husband, Andy); son, Jimmy Myers and three grandchildren, Misty Myers, Shane Bennett and Cody Bennett.
A private family celebration will be held.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorial donations be made to the Heart Foundation (www.theheartfoundation.org).
