William Thomas “Tommy” Parton, 79, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at his residence.
A native of the Oakley community of Asheville, Tommy was a son of the late James E. Parton and Bertie Mae Wiggins Parton Laing. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Mattie Sue Stills, Ella Mae Fox, Lucille Huffstetler, and Christine Sheppard; brothers, James, Jr., Richard, Jerry and Jimmy Parton; nephew, Ronald Stills and niece, Lisa Parton.
Mr. Parton owned and operated Parton’s Home Improvement for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Wilson Parton; daughter, Renea Glenda Harrin (Donnie); grandson, Lee Harrin; great-granddaughter, Hazel Harrin, and great-grandson on the way, Silas Lee Harrin.
His family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. The funeral service will immediately follow with Mr. Rex Hoglen officiating. Interment will then take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

He was the best uncle I ever had we was close and I will miss him he is up there with my mom his sister love you and miss you God bless you

Tommy was the very best friend and uncal,, only went fishing afew times in my life go I would go by his work what a hard working man he was meet him and my aunt and go eat many of time I could go on with memories as a child, He will be missed, But fish on you Ronnie and your little dog see you sooner than later love you uncle Tommy
