Arden – Harold “Harry” Roloff, 90, of Arden, NC, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2022 after a series of lingering infections. He was born in Orwell, OH to Louise & Samuel on February 12, 1932.
Harold was passionate about farms, red barns, animals and children. He served in the Air Force and was involved in the Korean War. While serving in the Air Force he met his wife, Judy. They had two loving daughters, Judy & Jeanette. Harold put family first, always, and was a dedicated father. He was proud of their career choices; Judy spent 35 years + as a dental Hygienist and Jeanette spent 30 years as a primary school teacher. Harold spent most of his working years serving the US Post office. He was a fun, kind, loving, and supportive father who took his family on regular summer vacations. They spent many hours playing ping pong, games and cards. Many of their vacations were in the Smoky Mountains where he & his wife Judy moved after retirement. Harold and Judy did much travel in their early retired lives while enjoying their five grandchildren. Harold enjoyed greatly his son-in-law’s Mike & Johno and thought of them as his own sons. He spent many beautiful retired days golfing with Judy and/or his son-in-laws, and even held a part time job as a Golf Ranger at a few North Carolina golf courses. Harold was predeceased by both parents, one infant sister, one adult sister, four brothers and one nephew. He leaves behind a wife of 62 years of marriage, two daughters, two son-in-laws, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister and brother-in-law, many nieces & nephews, as well as, several friends & neighbors.

May his family and loved ones find comfort in the love he shared. I will so miss Harry’s warm, kind and fun personality. I loved hearing his stories of him and his brothers. I will miss his great smile and that twinkle in his eye. May he rest in peace.

It was my great pleasure to count Harry as one of my friends at MountainCare. He had a good sense of humor and was always willing to contribute to many lively discussion groups. He will be missed.
