Shelia Kay Chastain, 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at home in Lillian, Alabama.

Kay was born July 31, 1958, in Florence, Alabama, to the late Walter Ray and Dovie Earwood Williams. She is survived by her husband, Charles Craig Chastain of Lillian, Alabama; her two sons, Daniel Godwin of Milton, Florida, and Shandy Godwin of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; brother Walter Ray Williams, Jr. of Huntersville, North Carolina; sister Paula Williams Witherspoon of Mt. Holly, North Carolina; and granddaughter, Alivia Godwin.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2022, at Emma’s Grove Baptist Church, 417 Emmas Grove Road in Fletcher, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m.

Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian team is assisting with local arrangements.
