Norma Clarice Warren Case passed away on July 2, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with respiratory illness.
Born on March 15, 1962, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, Norma was the beloved youngest of three children born to Thurlow and Lorema Warren. A proud graduate of Enka High School, Norma dedicated her life to caring for her family, a role she embraced with love and grace.
She is survived by her fiancé, Bill Wells; her brother, Marvin Warren, and his wife, Linda; her sister, Ladatha Penley, and her husband, Bill. She also leaves behind her three daughters: Tammy Tapia, Ruby Wyatt, and Margaret Ernst, along with her cherished grandchildren: Julianna Freck, Kaitlyen McCall, James Burgess, Layla Lee, Toni Bojorquez, Aviane Penland, Destiny Penley, and Faith Penland. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon Lee.
The memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home, 856 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805 with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Don Littleton will officiate.
Norma’s love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
