Thomas "Tom" Grimes Macon III

Thomas “Tom” Grimes Macon, III, 84, of Fletcher, NC, passed away July 25, 2025 at Mission Hospital.

Born October 28, 1940 in Statesboro, GA, Tom was a son of the late William and Lorene Macon. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Anne Cook Macon, and his son, William “Cully” Macon, III.

Surviving is his son, Thomas Macon, V (Erin); grandchildren, Thekla Macon, Laura Macon McElory (Brandon), Tommy Macon, Mary Macon, Jessee Macon and Tyler Macon; and great-grandchildren, Macon and Orion McElroy.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allen Rash officiating.
