Uel Suel Evans

Uel Suel Evans, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, December 15, 2025.

Mr. Evans was born in Charleston, WV to the late Wronsford and Reba Evans. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Doris Evans, a daughter, Brenda Pettit and a granddaughter, Chloe Pettit.

Uel was an avid fisherman and hunter with a deep love for the outdoors and wildlife. He was also a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is survived by a daughter, Becky Coleman (Mike); four grandchildren, Ben Evans (Angela), Amanda Cope (Cory), Samuel Coleman (Payton) and Zachary Brevard (Krista); three great grandchildren, Davis, Grace and Zimri; A brother Willie Evans and a sister Ruth Ann McBride.

Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian team is assisting the family and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date for Uel and Doris.
