Ted,June, Sadie and family, I know it’s been years since we’ve been in contact but feel like it was just yesterday. Was sorry to read in the newspaper Viola’s home going. Please know you are all in my prayers and thoughts.
To the family,
I remember the Meadows Family well, especially Wanda and barbara who went to school with my older sister Irene Elkins Gosnell. I have pictures of Wanda and Barbara in their evening gowns with Irene, Ann Corn and Kate Corn. I will always remember this family. My condolences to all of you during this difficult time..
To All Of Loving Family,
Our thoughts have been with you during your time of loss. Viola was a special aunt and Ted has always been a very loving, caring Uncle. I will never forget when I was younger and my Mom, Olive, didn’t have any money to buy me any Christmas presents and Ted & Viola gave her some money so I would have something under the tree! I love when he use to joke with me. Viola always would sneak goodies for us at Grandma Essie’s and anytime we would visit her we would never go home without something from their garden or freezer! Our prayers are with you always and of course, you all are family to us and if anyone ever needs our help, just give us a call. I hope to come to NC for a visit in the near future. If I lived close, we would bring Ted to our home, or his and care for him as I did with my mother, Olive as well as my Daddy, Wade. Our sincere thanks to everyone helping out; June, Nell, Courtney, Tommy, Ricky, David, and anyone else that that I have left out. We love all of you and keep you in our thoughts daily. YOU ARE A WONDERFUL FAMILY! With All Our Love, Angela & Hank

I love Aunt Viola like a second grandmother. I remember going up to NC with Nana and Papaw (Bud and Sadie) and loved seeing Aunt Viola and Uncle Ted along with the rest of the family. I will have great memories! I will deeply miss my long conversations with her and everything about her.
Nell, June, and Other Family Members, Words cannot convey to you my sympathy. We are never ready to lose our loved ones. Please know we are thinking of you and hope that it helps in some small way to know that others do care. Mary
Every Sunday I would look for Ted and Viola to arrive at Dillingham Presbyterian Church. It was always an encouragement to see them drive up in the parking lot and help each other get inside the church. As their health dimished they continued to attend church as long as it was physically possible. What an inspiration to me to see that dedication. Their pew will be empty and I will miss them but I am grateful for the Christian witness they shared with me through my years of growing up in Dillingham Presbyterian Church. I know that God will care for Ted in his loss in a very special way…May God bless each family member. With much love, Donna Huntsinger

Viola and Ted have been wonderful friends to my family for over 50 years. There have been so many happy and fun memories over the years with my grandparents, my parents and myself. We have laughed and told jokes, swapped recepies, shared garden produce, plants and seeds. We have shared meals and celebrations and heartaches too. Truely, truely great friends. Viola will be so sorely, sorely missed. But we know that where she is, she is bringing so much joy to those around her. We miss you Viola.
The Gall family.
We wish to send our thoughts and prayers to everyone grieving Viola’s passing.
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Viola. I was unaware of she and Ted being in a nursing home. They were both great friends of my father Dick Dillingham and our family shared many happy times with them on vacation and spending weekends at their home or ours.
May God bless your family with His peace and strength during this difficult time and in the days ahead. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
With sympathy and love,
