Celia Shumate Bradshaw

Arden ~ Celia Ann Shumate Bradshaw, 85, formerly of Richmond, VA died on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Elizabeth House Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Va. Senator Anderson Everett Shumate, Sr. and Lillian Hale Shumate and was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Waverly Daniel Bradshaw, Sr. Mrs. Bradshaw was a graduate of Virginia Intermont and Randolph Macon Women?s College, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Fletcher United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Bradshaw McLean of Safety Harbor, Florida and Vicki Bradshaw Innes and her husband Jay of Arden; a son, Dan Bradshaw, Jr. and wife Gwen of Kernersville; six grandchildren, Dayna Rohrer and husband Chris and Dean Bradshaw and wife Meredith all of Kernersville, Rick and Kristy McLean of Safety Harbor, Fla and Julie and John Innes of Arden. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
