Jerry Phillip Shaw, 64, of 147 Johnston Blvd., Asheville, died on Thursday, July 5, 2007, at his residence.
Born in High Point, Mr. Shaw was a son of Thelma Fulp Shaw and the late Willard Franklin Shaw. He was a United States Army veteran.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Ted Wayne Shaw; his brother Kenneth Shaw; niece, Leslie Shaw; and two nephews, Lance and Jason Shaw.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Avenue with the Reverend John Kinsland officiating. Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.
