DOREEN S. ROBERT
Doreen L. Smith Robert,
71, of 1 Cedar Hill Circle, Asheville,
died Monday, June 9, 2003, at the
Hospice Solace Center.
Mrs. Robert was born in
Ontario, Canada, and had lived in the
Asheville area since 1965. She was
preceded in death by her husband,
Eugene A. Robert and by a daughter
Lauraine Hamilton.
She is survived by a
daughter, Theresa Kelly of Leonardo,
NJ; a son, Gerald Thomas Robert,
formerly of Asheville; two sisters,
Susan Berry and Marilyn Buzza and a
brother Paul Smith, all of Ontario;
eight grandchildren, Christopher,
Colleen, Ryan, Megan and Erin Kelly,
Zachary and Adrienne Hamilton, and
Angela Cisco, with whom Mrs. Robert
made her home; and eight
great-grandchildren.
A memorial Eucharist will
be celebrated at 2:00 pm Wednesday
at Grace Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to Mountain
Area Hospice, PO Box 25338,
Asheville, NC 28813.
Groce Funeral Home on
Patton Avenue is in charge of the
arrangements.
