Dear Carol,
I was very sorry to read about the loss of your dear Sara. Please know that I care and that your family is in my thoughts and prayers. May God’s beautiful love and your memories of happier times be a daily comfort to all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family at this most difficult time. I know it is hard to think of now, but she will always be with you, no matter where you are. She served many roles; a loving daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a friend. Sara’s love, kindness, acceptance and the friendship she gave so graciously to me meant so much. She was a blessing to my life and I am grateful to have known her. She was a lovely lady in so many ways, and she will be deeply missed by all. May the family feel the love and presence of our Lord you as you grieve her loss.
Nancy in Missouri (Burrell cousin)
When I became old enough to become really interested in my ancestry, Sara patiently told me and showed me my Burrell heritage. She was a dear friend and cousin. May she rest in peace and may God bless her family.
Sara was so gracious. We will miss her visits to Leicester and her emails.

Dear Dr. Miller & family,
I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I have only met Sarah once or twice but Dr. Miller you are a dear member of our family. My children think of you as their other grandfather especially Caroline. Please know that our prayers are with you all. Even though I didn’t know Sarah well I do know in my heart of hearts she is an Angel in God’s house now.
Sincerely,
Tammy Scott & family
I met Sara at the Burrell Reunion in Mountain Rest, SC, and I don’t think I have ever met a nicer person. Through her accumulated family history, her ancestors will never be forgotten. Likewise, Sara will always be remembered in her fellow ‘cousins’ hearts.
Some of my family’s happiest memories are when we moved to Hartsville and met the Miller family. Jennifer and Lorrie became close friends. Sara and Carol were always there for us. It has been almost 29 years since we left but we kept in touch through emails and cards. Sara will be missed but always remembered in our hearts and memories.
We were shocked and so sorry to hear of her passing. You will be in our prayers.
Lori, Kenny, and Carol Ann:
Please know that our sincere thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Much love,
Tim, Cindy, & Georgianna
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Sara was a wonderful friend and was a big and gracious help to me in searching out my family tree. We am honored to count her as a distant cousin. We always enjoyed visiting with Sara and Carol. Sara will be sorely missed. God bless. Love always,
We have not been so shocked in a long time as when I received the e-mail from Lorrie about the death of Sara. We met her at a Burrell reunion when I showed up with the Bright Burrell letters and she was so excited to see them. She was a good friend, a true Southern Lady and was loved all who knew her. We are sorry for your loss! If we can be of any help please let us know.

A truly special lady. A wonderful friend. We will miss her company, but carry her in our hearts always.
Dear Carol,
It is with the deepest sympathy that I hear about your sad loss. I wish you and your family strength and courage during this very difficult time.
With kind regards,
David Markham
Dear Carol,
Sara was a wonderful person and friend, we’re so very sorry for your loss.
Our thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family today and always.
Dear Carol, Lorrie, and Lance,
I am broken hearted as is my Mom Katie Johnson and Yankee Cousin in law Ross. We loved your mom and wife so very very much. I myself looked forward to seeing her name pop up on my computer everyday as she brought a big smile to my face. My mom is devasted with the loss of her ‘historian cousin’ . God must have had a good reason, why I don’t think we will understand. If there is anything I/we can do PLEASE call 1248-363-3135. Katie and Sara would have tracked down every bit of Burrell history had they the chance to be together. We loved her very much. She will be in our hearts forever. I was hardly able to contain myself when I heard the news. We all look forward to seeing her in heaven with that Southern accent and big smile. My heart goes out to you all and especially the grandkids, keep her memory alive, she loved them so much. I know she loved her family more than anything. More love to you all then you will ever know. God Bless you,
The Johnsons
