Rev. Frank Y. Biddix, 94, of Candler, died on Sunday morning, April 13, 2008, at Pisgah Manor Heath Care Center.
He was a native of Rutherford Co., and lived in Buncombe Co. for the last 87 years. He was born on June 20, 1913, the son of the late Moses Calhoun and Leola Ownbey Biddix. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Geneva Lewis Biddix, who died in 1971; second wife, Veldia Shipman Pressley Biddix, who died in 2005; six sisters, seven brothers, and two great-grandsons.
Frank was employed by American Enka and retired with 39 years of service. He attended the Biltmore Church of God and then the West Asheville Church of God, where he taught the adult Sunday School class in both churches. Later he attended the Candler Church of God.
Rev. Biddix is survived by a daughter, Wilma Jean Thomasson and husband Larry, of Lowell, NC; two sons, Carroll Franklin Biddix and wife Margaret, of Fairview, and James Earl Biddix and wife Irma Jean, of Kingston, TN; one step-daughter, Edie Dixon and husband Jim, of Virginia; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Ronald Towe officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Enka, NC.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

We were so sorry to learn of the passing of Uncle Frank and we wish that we could have been with you during this time. He was a very special person and will be missed by many.
