Robert Lewis Clark, 64, of 1314 Tunnel Rd., Asheville, died Friday, August 15, 2008, at his residence.
Born on February 13, 1944, in Buncombe Co., Mr. Clark was a son of the late Cleo Clay Clark and Genevieve Lewis Clark Burnette. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Anne Clark, and Aileene Clark Moore; and brother, Tommy Clark.
He graduated from A.C. Reynolds High School in 1962, and then joined the U.S. Air Force, serving for 6 years as a security policeman. He spent 4 years with the Strategic Air Command and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Clark was a member of the Mill Spring VFW Post 10349, and he was a retired chef.
Mr. Clark is survived by his sister, Jeanette Clark Duncan, of Hendersonville; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mr. Clark will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the NCARNG.
The family will be at the home of Tobe Burnette, 91 Reynolds Road, Asheville.
Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.

My mom Louellen Deyton lives in Scenic and spoke of what a nice gentleman Bob was. She said she always enjoyed talking with him and what a wonderful cook he was. She said he will be greatly missed. God Bless.

I was sorry to hear of Bobby’s death. My prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. I have many good memories of our time on Ridge Avenue and at Reynolds High.
