Ruth Elizabeth M. Bradley, 89, of Leicester, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 5, 2009, with her family at her bedside following an extended period of Alzheimer’s and other illnesses. Mrs. Bradley is survived by her husband, Arvel, of the home; daughter, Evelyn Bradburn, of Asheville; son David E. Bradley, of Leicester; and granddaughter, Holly Ruth Ann Bradley, of Leicester. She was greatly loved, did many good things and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed country life and will be greatly missed and remembered. A graveside service for Mrs. Bradley will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Lt. Brett Cundiff officiating. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. Special appreciation is given to Trish Owens RN, Connie Jones, and Tina Surrett for their care. Flowers are welcome and appreciated, or donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 750 Haywood Rd., Asheville, NC 28806, or to Council on Aging, 46 Sheffield Circle, Asheville NC 28803.

  4. Ruth was a friend of many in my family, especially my mother, Velda McGuinn. Ruth lived with my mom,dad, brother and me, for a short period of time many years ago. We all loved her. She was so kind and she watched my children for me on at least one occasion. I pray for you in your loss and may we all see her in Heaven.
