Ruby Bolden Jamison

August 9, 1936 ~ January 3, 1999
Ruby Bolden Jamison, 62, of 27 Morgan Blvd.,
Arden, went home to be with Jesus, Jan. 3, 1999 after a
courageous fight with cancer.
A native of McDowell County, she has resided in
Arden, NC for the past 36 years. She was a preschool
Sunday school teacher and member of the choir at Skyland
Baptist Church.
Mrs. Jamison is survived by her husband of 44
years, Howard G. Jamison; a daughter Deborah K. Horres
and husband Stratton of Dallas, TX; three sons, Howard, Jr.
and his wife Alma of Marion, NC, Michael and his wife Teresa
of Raleigh, NC, Robert and his wife Pamela of Simpsonville,
SC, eight grandchildren and three brothers, Bill Jarrett of
Sparta, NC, Frank and Carl Jarrett of Marion, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday
in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue with
Dr. Carl Mintz and Rev. John Cook officiating. Burial will be
in the McDowell Memorial Park in Marion.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30
pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
