Dorothy Waugh Clark, 74, of 149 Moody Avenue, Candler, died Sunday, February 21, 1999, in an Asheville hospital.

Mrs. Clark was born in Point Pleasant, WV, and was a daughter of the late James G. and Emma Elizabeth Northup Waugh. She was married to Sheppard A. Clark and was a member of the West Asheville Church of God. She was retired from the White-Knight Co.

She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Benson and her husband Johnny and Evelyn Soesbee; four sisters, Juanita Craig, Jewell Holly, Mary Wray, and Elma Clark, and a brother, Harold Waugh; a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Dodson officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of Harold Waugh, 89 Liberty Road.
