Vivian B. 'Vee' Creasman
July 1, 1915 ~ February 28, 1999
Mrs. Creasman was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Wiley A. and Nannie Davis Brinkley. She was married to former Buncombe County Magistrate, the late W.E. 'Bill' Creasman. Together with her husband, she owned and operated B&B Grocery on Brevard Road. She retired from Lowe's where she was the first sales lady ever to be employed there. She was also a former Tax Lister for Buncombe County and a weather data collector for the Southeasern Forest Service. She was a former member of Bent Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Creasman was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Billie C. and Albert McCann; three grandchidlren and their spouses, Michelle M. and Stuart Smith, Michael and Dawn McCann, and Mitchell and Jennifer McCann; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Julia Ware of Hendersonville; and a brother, Clifford Brinkley of New Jersey.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. G.H. Shope officiating. Burial will be at Bent Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to one's favorite charity.
