Mildred Henderson McCall

May 18, 1917 ~ June 16, 1999
Mrs. McCall was born May 18, 1917, in Transylvania County, and
was a daughter of the late Charles and Janie Cash Henderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. McCall, two brothers, Lyle
Henderson and Truett Henderson, and two sisters, Birdell Henderson Moore and Margorie Henderson Edney.
She was a homemaker and a member of Hominy Baptist Church in Candler. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her church
and her family.
Mrs. McCall is survived by a
daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Michael Owenby of Hickory; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Charles Keith and Anna McCall of West Asheville, James Trevis and Judy McCall of Fairfield, CA, Garry D. and Cleta McCall of Candler, and Larry S. McCall of Candler; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Truman and Gladys
Henderson and Claxton Henderson; a sister, Barbara Montgomery; eight grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Hominy Baptist Church with the Rev. Drs. Joe Yelton and Fred Werhan officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends 7 - 8:30 pm Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and at other times will be at the home of Garry and Cleta McCall, 354 Justice Ridge Road, Candler.
Memorials may be made to Hominy Baptist Church.
