ASHEVILLE ~ Fremont Virgil Brown, II, 76 of Fremont Road, Asheville, died Thursday, June 24, 1999 at his residence.

He was a native of Akron, New York and son of the late Edward Augustus Brown and Alice Hucknall Brown, and husband of Phyllis Smith Brown who died in 1982.

He was founder and owner of Brown's Office Supply and Camelot Mobile Home Park.  He was a member of the Sons of American Revolution, and was a US Army Air Core veteran, serving during World War II.

He is survived by two sons, Fremont Virgil Brown, III and Thomas Michael Brown both of Asheville; two brothers, Thomas H. Brown of Fairhope, Alabama, and Edward A. Brown of Largo, Florida; three grandchildren, Dixie, Savanna and Ashley Brown.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Calvary Episcopal Churchyard, with Edward A. Brown officiating.  At other times the family will be at the home of Thomas M. Brown, 1442 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC.
