Evelyn Wilson Young

Mrs. Young was born in Greer, SC, and lived in Asheville for a number of years where she was a member and secretary of Grace Baptist Church. She was a former PTA president and County Council president and was co-chairman of the Woodfin Golden Age Club.

She is survived by her husband, Hamp Young; two daughters, Andrea Abraham of Dallas, TX and Marsha Bone of Naples, FL; and three sisters, Helen Meredith, Sara Bingston, and Freddie Brown.

Her family will receive friends at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue from 10 - 10:45 am Friday. Burial at Green Hills Cemetery will be private.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Grace Baptist Church.
