Vinie Miller Johnson, 67, of 24 Indian Camp Road, Weaverville, died Thursday, February 10, 2000, in an Asheville hospital.

A native of Elk Fork, KY, she was a daughter of the late Wise and Bessie C. Miller. She was also preceded in death by three brothers. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Jupiter Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Johnson; four daughters, Barbara Foglepole of Belpre, OH, Linda Rice of Florida, Shirley Kimble of North Carolina and Gladys Raskin of Florida; two sons, Clayton Adkins of Ohio and Clinton Adkins of NC; two sisters, Velta Luther of NC and Gilli Ann Dotson of OH; four brothers, Carl, Joe and Raymond Miller of OH, and Ishmal Miller of NC; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 4:00 pm Sunday at Jupiter Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. H.O. Hester oficiating.

Her family will receive friends from 4 - 6 pm Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
