Robbie Jane Hudson Ball, 72, of Vine St., Asheville, died on Monday, August 23, 2010, at St. Joseph Campus, Mission Hospitals. A Henderson Co. native, Mrs. Ball was a daughter of Annie Mae Praytor Hudson and of the late Rev. Howard Hudson. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Ball is survived by her daughters, Janet Reece and husband Frank, and Linda Ball Helms and husband Joseph; son, William Herbert Ball, Jr.; three sisters; five brothers; grandchildren, Billy, April, Crystal Ann, Jenny, Jacob, Mark, Tracy, and Angel; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Joshua, Aaliyha, Christopher, Travis, Jason, Dylan, Courtney, and Levi. The graveside service for Mrs. Ball will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Guy officiating. The family will receive friends at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. one hour prior to the service.
