Asheville Butterfly TrailA native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of Sheila Wilson Bright of Arden and Roger Parl Bright of Mountain Home. She was an employee of the Buck Horn Family Restaurant.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Shannon Thompson of Canton; two daughters, Christon Shyann Bright and Samantha Marina Thompson; brother, Edward Parl Bright of Leicester and her maternal grandparents, Charles and Louise Wilson of Hendersonville.
Services will be held at 2 pm Sunday in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by the Rev. Gregory Corn. Burial will be in Avery’s Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Long Shoals Road from 7 until 8:30 pm Saturday.
I grew up with Shelly in Wellington Park. She was always a sweet girl and this is a horrible tragedy.I pray for her family and children.
