Pearl Silvers Goforth

Pearl Silvers Goforth, 100, of Hot Springs, died Monday, June 12, 2000 in a Asheville nursing facility. A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Darnell Silvers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Goforth and a son Charles Troy Goforth. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Hot Springs. She is survived by her sons, Arthell Goforth of Asheville, Frank David Goforth of Hot Springs; sister, Vivian Keener Moore of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Baptist Church with Revs. Greg Warren, Bill Gillespie and Sherman Tweed officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue where the body will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
