Snowden Cole, 84, of Main Street Asheville, died Wednesday, November 22, 2000 in the V A Medical Center.

Mr. Cole was a native of Owsley County, KY and was a son to the late Willie and Emma Bailey Cole and was the husband of Annie Quinn Cole.

He was a US Army Veteran of WW II and was a member of the VFW Post # 891. He was a member of Skyland Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by five daughters, Shirley Ann Cole of the home; Emma Lee Bucklew of Swannanoa; Rita Cole of Arden; Nadine Parham and Snowdena Scott both of Asheville; one son, Sam Cole of Asheville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2000 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Reverends Bobby Smith and Stacey Harris officiating. Interment will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at the funeral home.
