  1. To Genie and the family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will miss Trudy as we have Gene. They were good neighbors and good people. We will always treasure the photo album Trudy made for us showing the progress on the addition on our house.

  2. Genie: Van and I are sorry your Mom has passed. But we know that Gene is smiling from ear to ear. They now are like younger days just in love. Our prayers are with you.
    Van & Yvonne

  3. Genie & Family,

Our sincerest condolences to you in the recent loss of your mother. It saddens us to know that you have lost both your parents in such a short time, but it seemed that both of them were sick and maybe not enjoying life as it should be enjoyed. Still, missing them is not diminished in the fact that neither of them are ill anymore.
Genie, you had great parents, and we’re sure many great memories.

    Our warmest wishes,

    Jim and Kay Davis

  4. Genie, you don’t know me but I worked with your Mom for 23 years at ACT. I wanted you to know that I always looked up to her and respected her. She was a beautiful lady, physically and in spirit. Many times over the years she befriended me. She has been one of my fondest memories of the newspaper. During those years most all conversations included talking about her beloved Genie and bragging on you. Her love for you was so deep. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family.

  5. Truday was an sunshine to all hearts she touched ,she had an special way with anyone she met she always made them feel welcome and loved. Our condolences to her family . Victoria and Libby Chakales

  6. Gene and Trudy are back together, again, free of all the pain and troubles this life brings.
Both were ‘Mom & Dad’ to me too from’69 on and it would take volumes to list all the joys and hurts were shared.
    What a lagacy!
    Peace & Joy

  7. Dear Genie, Kerry and Summer,
Words can not express the sadness we feel in our hearts for the loss of both your Mom and Dad in such a short period of time. We have many great memories of holiday parties, picnics and fishing at their house. Your parents were awesome people! They will be missed!

Your Mom had a real gift for making everyone feel so welcome in her home. She was such a beautiful person, both inside and out! You have her spirit and no doubt her strength. Take care of yourselves and make her proud!

    Our prayers are with you!
    Randy, Terri and Ryan

  8. Genie and family, let the love of Christ comfort you as you face life without Trudy and Gene. Remembering both of them brings happiness to me. They were both such special people. Their good works were done without fanfare. They were friends to many through their charity work.

No one could get the upperhand on Trudy with office jokes. I found out the hard way. She came back with a vengeance…but it was all in fun! What a lady! And…she treated everyone as if they were important; loving our families along with us.

Of course, no one can replace Trudy or Gene, but they lived a lovely example for us to follow. I am glad you had them for your parents, Genie. What a wonderful heritage on which your life can be based. May you have wonderful memories of your folks. I continue to remember you in my prayers. Phyllis
