Julian J. Jarrell
March 14, 1922 ~ May 18, 2001

A native of Cherryville, he was a son of the late Julius Jarrell and Lydia McCracken Jarrell and the husband of Betty Jarrell.
Mr. Jarrell was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a welder and worked for Asheville Steel for a number of years.
He was a member of Arden First Baptist Church, the Biltmore Masonic Lodge #446 and the Scottish Rite.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Jarrell is survived by a niece and a nephew.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 20 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Revs. Stephen Summers and Joe Babb officiating. Interment will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park with Masonic graveside rites to be conducted by Biltmore Masonic Lodge #446. The lodge will open at 1:00 P.M.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Arden First Baptist Church Building Fund, 3839 Sweeten Creek Road, Arden, NC 28704.
