Frances Eleander Mitchell
March 28, 1918 ~ October 6, 2001

A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Bradley and Ella Lee Keever Davis. She retired from Southern Bell in 1977 where she worked as an operator. She was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church and the Golden Circle Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two daughters, Rita Fieffer and her husband, Warren of Weaverville and Gelene King and her husband, Green of Leicester; two sons, Daniel Neil Jennings and his wife, Vickie of Fletcher and Arlo Jennings and his wife, Arleen of Asheville; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Lake Julian chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Long Shoals Road with Reverend Ian Walker and Arleen Jennings officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
