Fairview ~ Ronnie Michael Reed, 51, of 357 Bethany Church Road, died unexpectedly from complications of diabetes and leg amputation Tuesday, October 16, 2001 at his residence.

Born in Henderson County, Mr. Reed was a son of Frances Reed Wren and a stepson of John Wren.

Mr. Reed worked as a superintendent for a construction company.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, Mr. Reed is survived by a son, Ronnie Reed, Jr. of Vienna, VA and three stepbrothers, Donald Wren, Albert Wren and Billy Wren, all of Oxford, MS.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Reverends Richard Hughes and Jeff Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
