CANDLER � Lewis Newland Mays, Jr., 67, of 1079 Monte Vista road, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
Mr. Mays was born in Lebanon, VA, and was a son of the late Lewis N. Mays, Sr. and Isabell Robinson Boardwater. He was a former truck driver for Southeastern Container and attended Candler House of Prayer. He enjoyed bass fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Barber Mays; two children, 3 step-children, 5 step-grandchildren, and a brother, Charlie Bill Mays and wife Peggy of Lizella, GA.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends 1� hour prior to the service.
Donations may be made to assist with the funeral expenses.
