Pauline Sams Morgan, 88, formerly of Candler and Sumter, SC, died Friday, February 22, 2002, in Rock Hill, SC.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late O.C. and Sophronia Green Sams. She was married to Norman I. Morgan who died in 1989. She was a member of White Rock Baptist Church in Candler.
She is survived by three daughters, June Morgan of Killen, AL, Paula Barth of Wedgefield, SC, and Nancy Race of Rock Hill, SC; two sons, Herschel S. (Scotty) Morgan of Candler and Gary Morgan of Boone; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 4 - 6 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
