Asheville Butterfly TrailShe was the daughter of the late Cicero J. and Charlotte McMillon Bryson and the wife of the late Grady H. Farmer.
Mrs. Farmer was born in Unaka (Cherokee County)NC and had lived in Buncombe County since 1958.
She was a charter member of Arden First Baptist Church where she had held various offices including Sunday School teacher and director of Home Bound Ministries. She was a volunteer for 10 years at VAMC in Oteen.
She is survived by her son, Victor of the home.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 4:00 PM at Arden First Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Summers and Rev. G. Scott Lynch officiating. Pallbearers will be deacons of the church and honorary pallbearers will be members of the Abundant Life Sunday School class. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
