Arden ~ William Cecil Jackson, Jr., 83, died Friday, July 12, 2002 in a local hospital.
A native of Greenwood, SC, Mr. Jackson was a son of the late William Cecil Jackson, Sr. and Quay Carr Jackson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Andrew Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a 1937 graduate of Lee Edwards High School and was retired from Egolf Motors.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marion Jackson; a daughter, Patricia Jackson Stone of Cookeville, TN; two sons, Dale Jackson of Asheville and Gary Jackson and his wife, Patricia Miller Jackson of Clinton, MD and one grandson, Nicholas Stone of Cookeville, TN.
A funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Rev. Kristin Lassiter officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Episcopal Churchyard.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
