Agnes Creasman Nichols, 85, of Asheville, died Wednesday, January 19, 2000, in a local hospital.

A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Grace Carland Creasman. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Dennis Nichols; a sister, Mary Sue Early and two brothers W.E. "Bill" and Harold Creasman. Mrs. Nichols was a retired employee with the Forest Service having 33 years of service and was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors include a sister, Edna Lance; two brothers, Hugh Creasman and Ralph Creasman all of Asheville and a number of nieces and nephews.

She loved, and was dearly loved by, all her family.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Dr. James H. Johnson officiating. Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 Friday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue.
