Albert Ted Surrett

A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Velda King Surrett. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gaither, Jim and Frank Kenneth Surrett. He was an Army Veteran and a former employee of Taylor Instruments.
He is survived by two sisters, Eva Turner of Sandy Mush, Kay Davis of Middleburg, NC; three brothers, Joe Ben, Bud, and Gerald Surrett all of Sandy Mush; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow in Payne's Chapel Cemetery.
His family will receive friends 7-8:30 Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of Teresa Penland, 609 Sandy Mush Creek Road.
Ted will be greatly missed by us. He was a good friend and neighbor. It won’t be the same without him.
